Pastor Jon Kruschel has been serving at Good Shepherd since 2018. He previously served for 14 years as the Administrative/Lead Pastor at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Stevensville, MI. Pastor Kruschel is a 2003 graduate from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary and served congregations in Yorba Linda, CA and Columbia, TN as part of his seminary training. He is married to Nikky and the couple has two teenage daughters. Pastor Kruschel is passionate about mission work and is excited for the many opportunities that God is providing to reach people throughout our area with the message of Christ Jesus our Savior. He is a constant encourager of people studying God's Word in some form of Bible study, and attempts to use worship to connect people with the message Christ wherever they might be in life. In his spare time he enjoys travelling and playing a round of golf every once-in-awhile.
Lisa Carlson was born in West Salem where she attended Chirst Lutheran Church and Elementary School. While attending Luther High School in Onalaska, Wisc. Mrs. Carlson participated in choir, band and softball. After graduation she attended Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN where she graduated in 1999 with a teaching degree and was married to David Carlson. Her first call was to serve as 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teacher at St. Matthew’s Lutheran School in Stoddard, WI. After taking some time away from full-time teaching to raise their four sons Mrs. Carlson began her preschool journey in the fall of 1994 as a part-time teacher at Christ-St. John’s Lutheran School in West Salem. In 1999 she accepted the call to teach preschool at Good Shepherd. Mrs. Carlson enjoys spending time with her 4 adult sons, reading, and taking time with family and friends at their cabin on Potato Lake near Chetek, Wisc.
