|Pastor Shaun Arndt
My name is Shaun Arndt. The Apostle Paul was amazed both at the fact that the Lord would save such a great sinner as he and then also call him to God's service (see 1 Timothy 1). In the same way, I am amazed by the undeserved love of God that not only would He rescue a lost sinner like myself and make me His forgiven child, but then also heap grace upon grace to grant me the privilege of serving in his Church. For nearly 10 years, I have had the privilege of serving as the pastor of Good Shepherd (installed July 17, 2005). It is truly a great privilege to get to study the Lord's Word and share it with His people.
The Lord has graciously given me other blessings, including birth to Christian parents in June, 1979 in Watertown, Wisconsin and the New Birth of living faith in Jesus Christ in Holy Baptism making me an heir of eternal life (see Titus 3: 4-8) on July 15, 1979. I have been richly blessed to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18) through Christian Education that included Sunday School and Confirmation Class at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown, Wisconsin; Elementary School education at Trinity/St. Luke's Grade School in Watertown, Wisconsin; Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, Wisconsin; Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota; and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin which included a year of vicar (intern pastor) service at Zion in Chesaning, Michigan.
During Seminary I found a great gift from God (He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord - Proverbs 18:22) when I met Jamie Zioncheck. Jamie and I were married in August 2004. The Lord has blessed us with two sons - Isaiah (2006) and Daniel (2009). Both boys currently attend St. Paul's Lutheran Grade School in Onalaska.
In my spare time I enjoy many types of outdoor recreation: camping, hunting, hiking, looking at the beauty of God's created order, but especially fishing. I also like to read and learn about history of all eras, mainly American and Medieval history. Jamie enjoys outdoor activities along with running, biking, water exercise, cooking and gardening. The boys share both Jamie's love for gardening and my love for history.
I love being able to serve you with God's Word, helping you and your family to know better your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have about God's Word, the congregation or any way we may serve you.

|Lisa Carlson, Little Lamb Preschool Teacher
Lutheran Church and Elementary School. While attending Luther High School in Onalaska, Wisc. I participated in choir, band and softball. After high school I felt called to be a teacher, so I attended Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn. I graduated from college and was married in 1990.
My first position was teaching 3rd, 4th and 5th grade at St. Matthew’s Lutheran School in Stoddard, Wisc. In the fall of 1994, I began my preschool journey. I taught preschool at Christ-St. John’s Lutheran School in West Salem a few mornings a week. This allowed me to be home with my children and continue to teach. In 1999 I accepted the call to teach preschool here at Good Shepherd. I have loved every minute.
As a member of Good Shepherd I also am the current choir director. This is a new adventure for me but it also is proving to be a rewarding experience that I enjoy.
I am married to David Carlson. We have always lived in the Holmen area. We have been blessed with four sons. Jonathan is serving in the Air Force as a medic. Jacob is in the Army National Guard and is going to college. Tyler is working two part time jobs and Timothy is attending Luther High School.
In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with my family at our cabin on Potato Lake near Chetek, Wisc.
